The below information is intended to acknowledge and express our thanks for this critical support, as well as to facilitate direct contact between SEARN members and these partners.

Centre of Regulatory Excellence, Duke-NUS Medical School
The Centre of Regulatory Excellence (CoRE) at the Duke-National University of Singapore (Duke-NUS) Medical School was established with support from Singapore’s Economic Development Board, Health Sciences Authority and Ministry of Health as the first centre in Asia dedicated to addressing the capacity development and policy innovation needs of national health product and health systems regulators, the biomedical industry, pharmaceutical and medical device companies, and biomedical researchers. Formally inaugurated in November 2014, CoRE was established at Duke-NUS in Singapore to support the strengthening of health regulatory systems in the Asia-Pacific region, with a special focus on South-East Asia. CoRE provides a neutral platform for stakeholder interaction, learning and discussion in the academic setting of Duke-NUS Medical School. Aligned with the Duke-NUS vision of “Transforming Medicine, Improving Lives”, CoRE focuses on being a neutral scientific regulatory entity, “Enabling regulatory excellence, Improving lives”. In this regard, CoRE is working closely with the Singapore Ministry of Health, Health Sciences Authority, healthtech and health technology assessment agencies as well as international economies to explore new paradigms of converging health products and services regulation to respond to new biomedical and therapeutic developments.
